Mehlhop’s Four Season’s Taxidermy was established in 1989 by Pat Mehlhop. With almost 30 years of providing world class mounts, Pat continues to preserve your trophy and memories with mounts that you would be proud to display in your home.
Pat is a wildlife artist that strives to achieve the most original, life-like mount. He will customize each mount so that every clients trophy is a an original piece of art.
When not doing taxidermy, Pat is spending time with his family, wife Tara and their three children, Nick, Ashley and John. Pat has been hunting his entire life. This passion (or obsession as his wife would say) has rubbed off on his kids. Depending on the season, you will find Pat and one, two or all three of the kids out hunting waterfowl, turkey or deer just to name a few.
Pat has an eye to recreate the most natural-looking mount. He also has a very creative side to give you the most eye-catching displays. The showroom at Mehlhop’s Four Season’s Taxidermy is filled with a wide variety of these stunning mounts. You will find the complete North American Waterfowl Collection, this is Pat’s personal collection and a very rare display! You will also find multiple life-size deer, Mt.Goats, sheep, elk, moose throughout the shop along with a variety of fish and other critters. Pat’s personal collection of African animals are on display as well. Be sure to bring your camera!
Mehlhop’s Four Season’s Taxidermy recently moved the business to a new location. You cannot miss the new building on Highway 14 in Courtland, MN with the two great picture windows with displays that will make you do a double-take.
Pat’s goal is to achieve the most life-like mount possible. To do this, proper care of your animal is essential after you harvest it. Feel free to contact him with any questions or instructions before, during or after your hunt.
